Early & Personal life
Athiya Shetty was born on 5 November 1992 in in Bombay (now Mumbai) Maharashta. Athiya’s parents are actor Suniel Shetty and director Mana Shetty, she has a brother named Ahan Shetty. Ahan, who also became an actor after working in Tadap release on 2021. Athiya studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School for a few years, after which she went to the American School of Bombay to complete her studies. Along with studies, Athiya also participated in school plays along with Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff. She moved there because she wanted to appear in movies and enrolled at the New York Film Academy.
Due to having a long relationship and dating continuously for 3 years, he married Indian actress Athiya Shetty in 23 January 2023.

Career
Shetty made her acting debut in 2015’s Hero, a remake of co-producer Subhash Ghai‘s 1983 classic of the same name. Hero was directed by Nikhil Advani. And produced by Salman Khan, with Advani and Umesh Bist writing the screenplay. Total income for the movie was 34.82 crore (US$4.4 million approx.) She played the part of aspiring dancer Radha Mathur, a resident of Mumbai, who develops feelings for her kidnapper Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi), a gang member who is attempting to blackmail her father, IG Shrikant Mathur, the chief of police. She was nominated for the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award for her portrayal of Radha. Indian website Bollywood Hungama stated that Athiya needs more time to perfect her acting abilities.
After only two years, Shetty starred alongside Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Ileana D’Cruz in Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy Mubarakan. The movie, which was made in Punjab and London, collected 93.59 crores at the box office despite being viewed as a flop. Shetty’s acting in the movie earned acceptable to bad reviews, but still so did the movie itself. Then in 2018, Badshah wrote, produced, and sang the song “Tere Naal Nachna” with beauty queen singer Sunanda Sharma for the movie Nawabzaade, which was directed by choreographer Jayesh Pradhan and produced by Remo D’Souza and starred Raghav Juyal, Dharmesh Yelande, and Punit Pathak.
Athiya was then cast as Anita Awasthi in 2019. who wants to marry a non-resident Indian and live abroad. in Debamitra Biswal’s comedy drama Motichoor Chaknachoor, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Mixed reviews were given to the movie when it first came out. Shetty has committed to appearing in the biopic Hope Solo, starring as the titular character, about football player Afshan Ashiq.
