Babbu Maan
Tejinder Singh Whom we also know by the name of “Babbu” Maan (born 29 March 1975) is an Indian singer-songwriter, music director, actor and film producer. who is working in punjabi music industry since 1997. His creative endeavors mainly revolve around Punjabi movies and music. He is regarded as one of the most influential musicians in Punjabi music.
Early & Personal life
Tejinder Maan was bon on March 29, 1975 in the village of Khant Maanpur in the Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab. Babbu was raised in a joint household and was born into a middle-class family. He received his education at a private school in Maanpur before earning his degree from a public institution in Ropar. He went to Punjab University in Chandigarh to study an M.A. in Urdu. Since he was a young child, Maan has had a love for music, and at the age of 7, he gave his first stage performance. He began writing music lyrics when he was 16 years old. Before releasing his debut music record, Maan appeared in a number of stage productions.

Career
The world’s Punjabi-speaking populace is Maan’s primary target market. Babbu has published eight studio albums and six compilation albums since 1999. He has also written screenplays for Punjabi films, starred in them, and produced them. He has also made a sizable contribution to the soundtracks of regional and Bollywood movies. Maan represents the non-profit organisation One Hope, One Chance, which is located in Punjab.
Music
Babbu Maan recorded his debut album Sajjan Rumaal De Geya in 1997, but most of the tracks were changed and included in his later albums. Tu Meri Miss India, Maan’s formal debut album, was released in 1999.
With tracks like Chan Chanani, Raat Guzarlayi, Dil Ta Pagal Hai, Ishq, Kabza, and Touch Wood, Babbu Maan’s third album Saaun Di Jhadi was released in 2001. In 2003, he composed and sang for his debut film’s soundtrack, Hawayein, alongside Indian playback singers Sukhwinder Singh and Jaspinder Narula. Ohi Chann Ohi Rataan, Maan’s fourth album, was released in 2004. Pyaas, one of the best-selling Punjabi albums at the moment, was then released in 2005. Mera Gham, Maan’s debut Hindi album, was published in 2007, and Singh Better Than King, his debut religious album, was released in 2009. Babbu Maan has appeared in performances throughout the Middle East, Europe, North America, Oceania, and Asia. Maan won four World Music Awards in 2014 for Talaash: In Search of Soul, including World’s Best Indian Male Talent, World’s Best Indian Live Act, World’s Best Indian Entertainer, and World’s Best Indian Album.In 2017, Maan also took home two daf BAMA Music Awards from Germany.
Films
Babbu Maan made his acting début in the 2003 movie Hawayein, which was based on the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Despite being outlawed in India, the movie was a hit abroad. [Reference required] In Rabb Ne Banaiyan Jodiean, his first Punjabi movie, Maan played the major role. Maan returned to form in 2008 with Hashar after being dissatisfied with some sequences and the movie’s outcome (A Love Story). Since then, he has directed, written, and starred in his own films, including Ekam, Hero Hitler in Love, and Desi Romeos. Babbu Maan, a shareholder in Maan Films Pvt. Ltd., built the Ishqpura film set in his hometown in 2010. He appeared in the 2018 movie Banjara, which is about the existence of a truck driver.
