Keshav Prasad Maurya
Keshav Prasad Maurya (born 7 May 1969) is the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a Bharatiya Janata Party supporter. Keshav Prasad Maurya ran for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Sirathu seat in his native district of Kaushambi in 2022 but was defeated by Pallavi Patel of the Samajwadi Party. He was an active participant in the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.Maurya, who was born in 1969 in Sirathu in the neighbouring Allahabad district of Kausambhi, later attended the Hindu Sahitya Sammelan in Allahabad to study Hindi literature.Maurya Sold Te After Coming From A Kushwaha Farming Family.

Keshav was born 7 May 1969 in Sirathu, Uttar Pradesh, India. His parents name is Shyam Lal Maurya, Dhanpati Devi Maurya. Shyam Lal Maurya who was a Bharatiya Janata Party member and Keshav’s mother was a housewife. He was chosen to lead the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh on April 8, 2016, the first day of Chaitra. He took part in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and is a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh member. Maurya, who was born in Sirathu in the neighbouring Allahabad district of Kausambhi, studied Hindi literature at the Hindu Sahitya Sammelan.

Political Career
He has held other positions including Municipal Affairs and VHP Prant Sangathan Mantri. While being active in Goraksha (cow-protection) movements. He also took part in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Maurya has served as the BJP’s regional (Kashi) coordinator for both the backward class cell and the BJP Kisan Morcha. Before being elected as MP from the Phulpur seat in 2014 with a resounding five lakh votes and over 52% of the vote, he ran in the 2002, 2007 and 2012 assembly elections.
keshav lost the 2002 and 2007 elections but won the 2012 election. He was the sitting MLA from the Sirathu assembly constituency. Maurya was appointed the BJP’s state president in Uttar Pradesh in April 2016.In the 2017 election for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the BJP won with a historic victory under his direction. Keshav was regarded as a serious candidate for the position of Chief Minister when the election results were announced. He was chosen to serve as Uttar Pradesh’s deputy chief minister on March 18, 2017.
In the year 2012, he was elected as the party’s first MLA from Sirathu Tahseel. It was the first time a BJP MLA from Sirathu Tahseel had been elected. After 2.5 years, he was elected as the BJP’s MP for Phoolpur. He received the public enterprises department, food processing, entertainment tax, and the public works department (PWD).
Controversy
BBC interview controversy: He sparked outrage on January 10, 2022, when he supported hate speech and left a BBC interview. The cameraman was able to recover the erased tape, despite Maurya’s request to remove it after becoming irritated, according to BBC executives.
