Raashii Khanna
Raashii Khanna (born 30 November 1990) is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in a supporting part in the Hindi film Madras Cafe (2013) and went on to star in the films Oohalu Gusagusalade (2014), Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018), and Villain (2017) in addition to other languages. Bengal Tiger (2015), Supreme (2016), Jai Lava Kusa (2017), Tholi Prema (2018), Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018), Venky Mama (2019), Prati Roju Pandage (2019), Thiruchitrambalam (2022), and Sardar (2022) are just a few of Khanna’s financially rewarding films. These films made her one of the top actresses in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Khanna has also performed a small number of songs in other languages. Since then, she has appeared in the streaming shows Farzi (2023) and Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022).
Early life
Khanna was born on 30 November 1990 and hails from Delhi. She attended St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School in Delhi for her education before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi with honours in English. Khanna claimed that she excelled in academics and was a serious bookworm in both high school and college. Khanna initially wanted to be a singer, but as she got older, her focus shifted to academics and she now wants to be an IAS officer. Raashii asserts that becoming an actor was not her destiny and that she had no interest in modelling or in acting. She dabbled in ad copywriting throughout her college years before branching out into acting in a number of commercials before movies.

Career
In the 2013 Hindi political spy thriller film Madras Cafe, directed by Shoojit Sircar, Khanna made her acting debut in a supporting role as Ruby Singh, the wife of an Indian intelligence officer played by John Abraham, who also served as the film’s producer. She agreed to sign on in late October 2013 despite considering several other south films. Early in April 2014, Khanna made it official that she had a little part in the Telugu movie Manam, which was released in theatres before Oohalu Gusagusalade. Bengal Tiger, a Sampath Nandi film starring Ravi Teja, was her subsequent release. It earned 405 million ($5.1 million) worldwide, ranking it as the eighth-highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2015.
She co-starred with Sai Dharam Tej in the 2016 film Supreme, which was a commercial success. Critics praised her comic timing in the role of Bellam Sridevi, a cop who encounters humorous scenarios. Her first film, Jai Lava Kusa, starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr, was released in 2017 to great reviews and more than. Her debut film in 2019 was Ayogya, starring Vishal and an official remake of the Telugu smash Temper from 2015.Her lone release in 2020 was World Famous Lover with Vijay Deverakonda, which debuted to poor reviews and had a poor box office performance.
The movie chose an over-the-top distribution rather than a theatrical run and had its direct television premiere first. Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, which also serves as Khanna’s first release in 2022 and her first on digital streaming, stars Ajay Devgn. It is a remake of the British television programme Luther. Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. of The Family Man fame, was Khanna’s first film to be released in 2023.
