Rohit Shetty (born 14 March 1974) is an Indian film director, stuntman, writer, producer and television host who works in Hindi cinema. 1991–2002: Early work
At the age of 17, Shetty started his career as an assistant director on Phool Aur Kaante, the debut movie of Ajay Devgn. He later collaborated with Ajay Devgn on the films Suhaag, Haqeeqat, and Zulmi. In Suhaag, he served as Akshay Kumar’s body duplicate. He later appeared in the Devgn-starring films Raju Chacha, Hindustan Ki Kasam, and Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.
2003–2009: Directorial debut and breakthrough
Before becoming famous in 2006 for directing the first episode of Devgn’s classic comedy series Golmaal, which became his first smash, Shetty made his directorial debut in 2003 with Zameen, a film with an average box office performance starring Ajay Devgn.
