Shalin Bhanot

Shalin Bhanot (born 15 November 1983) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi television. He began his career as a participant on Roadies 2 and has since been in a number of serials and web programmes. Bhanot competed in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 4 and won with his now ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur. He later appeared on the reality show Bigg Boss 16 , where he finished as a finalist.

Early and Personal Life

Bhanot was born on 15 November 1983 a business family based in Jabalpur,  Madhya Pradesh. Brij Mohan, his father, is a businessman. Sunita Bhanot is his mother’s name. Rahul Bhanot is his elder brother’s name. Shweta Bhanot Nagpal is his sister’s name.
He enjoys exercise and dances frequently. In 2009, Bhanot married Dalljiet Kaur, an actress. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Jaydon, in 2014. In 2015, Kaur filed for divorce, accusing Bhanot of domestic violence. She said that he never took her to the doctor when she was pregnant. He accused her of attempting to influence the physicians and didn’t even want her to have a C-Section. Bhanot, according to Kaur, was abusive towards her even in front of her parents from the beginning of their marriage. They split in 2015, with Kaur having custody of Jaydon but Bhanot having visitation privileges.

Career

Bhanot began his career as a contestant in the reality show MTV Roadies 2 in 2004. He then appeared in Ayushmaan (2005) as Akshay. From 2005 to 2006, he was seen on Zed TV as Karan in Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar and as Mihir in Sanya. He later played Agni in Sony TV’s Kulvaddhu. He made a guest appearance on Kaajjal and starred on Star Plus’s Grihasti. Bhanot won the StarPlus dancing reality show Nach Baliye 4 with his previous wife Daljeet Kaur in 2009. Michelle Danner, a Hollywood acting instructor, trained him.

From October 2022 to February 2023, he was seen on Colours TV’s reality show Bigg Boss 16, where he finished as a finalist in fifth place. In February 2023, he was given the male lead for Balaji Telefilms’ fiction serial Bekaboo by Ekta Kapoor on the finale of Bigg Boss 16, which he accepted and went on to star in.
