Tony Kakkar
Tony Kakkar (born 9 April 1984) is an Indian singer known for his cringe pop songs. Kakkar made his Bollywood debut as a music director in 2012 with the film Mr. Bhatti on Chutti, for which he wrote the song “Good Boys Bad Boys.” He is the younger brother of singers Sonu and Neha Kakkar. Along with Anshul Garg, he co-founded Desi Music Factory, a record label, in 2014.
Early life
Kakkar was born on 9 April 1984 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. His fathername Rishikesh Kakkar is an singer. His mother’s name is Niti Kakkar. Kakkar has two sisters, Sonu Kakkar and Neha Kakkar. Both of them are singers in the industry. Their family migrated to Delhi in the 1990s from Rishikesh, where the siblings used to perform at jagratas. In 2004, Kakkar and his sister Neha shifted to Mumbai.

career
Tony and his sister Neha Kakkar moved to Mumbai in 2004. Tony frequently accompanied Neha on her recordings, and it was there that he began studying technical parts of music composition. He gradually began producing demo CDs. Tony’s music was once heard by actor-producer Pooja Bhatt, who suggested him to approach T-series owner Bhushan Kumar. Tony’s work impressed Bhushan, who offered him his first song. Tony Kakkar made his singing debut in 2012 with the single “SRK Anthem.” Next, he worked as a music director in the film “Mr. Bhatti On Chutti” (2012). He wrote “Sawan Aaya Hai” for the film Creature 3D. He and Anshul Garg co-founded the record label Desi Music Factory in 2015. Following that, he composed music for songs such as “Ek Do Teen Char” and “Khuda Bhi” from the film ‘Ek Paheli Leela;’ The film’s songs “Mile Ho Tum,” “Khara Khara,” and “Dil Ashkon Mein”
Plagiarism allegations
On multiple occasions, Kakkar has been chastised and accused of stealing images from K-pop songs. “Shona Shona,” which was released in 2020, has images that are comparable to B1A4‘s “Like A Movie” and IZ*ONE’s “Beware.” The 2021 release “Booty Shake” is similarly heavily based on a K-pop song. The music video is said to be comparable to the “Ice Cream” music video by K-pop girl group Blackpink.
