Vicky Kaushal (Actor) Born, Height, Weight, Girlfriend, Career & More Vicky Kaushal (born 16 May 1988) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi films. He is working in Bollywood since 2012 and he has worked in many Hindi films. Awarded multiple honors, including two Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award, Kaushal was named to Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list for 2019. He started his film career by assisting Anurag Kashyap in the 2012 crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur. He later played small roles in two of Kashyap’s productions after earning an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Masaan, an independent drama from 2015, was his first starring role before he appeared in the psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0. (2016). With supporting parts in Sanju and Raazi, two of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of the year, Kaushal expanded his audience and won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Kaushal became a well-known actor after landing the National Film Award for Best Actor for his main performance as a military officer in the 2019 war movie Uri: The Surgical Strike. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his depiction of Udham Singh in the biopic Sardar Udham (2021), which received favorable reviews. (Critics). In addition to his acting work, Kaushal also co-hosts award shows and performs there. He also promotes a number of companies and goods. He is wed to Katrina Kaif, an actor.

His father Sham Kaushal who was an action director within Bollywood used to direct Film’s. Vicky’s mother Veena Kaushal who is a housewife. Sunny, his younger sibling, is a performer. His family is a Hoshiarpur-born  Punjabi Hindu household. As a “regular kid who was interested in studying, playing cricket, and watching movies,” Kaushal has characterized himself. In 2009, he received an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mumbai’s Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. His father was keen on his son having a stable job away from show business.

Kaushal discovered he had no genuine interest in an office job during an industrial visit to an IT firm in his graduation year and started to pursue a career in film. He participated in theater with Manav Kaul’s Aranya group and  Naseeruddin Shah‘s Motley Productions while also studying acting at Kishore Namit Kapoor‘s school. He did everything from backstage work and announcements to stand-ins. Kaushal spent the following two years attending different types of auditions, but he received no promising opportunities. In 2011, he made his debut as an actor in the stage play Laal Pencil.

Much tabloid reporting has been done on Kaushal’s private affairs. Despite his reputation for being media-friendly, he has been reserved when talking about his partnerships. In 2018, he was first connected to the actor Harleen Sethi. Early in 2019, the media reported on their separation. On December 9, 2021, Kaushal wed actress Katrina Kaif in a customary Hindu wedding at the Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. In India, the wedding received a lot of public attention.

(2012). Kaushal, who regards Kashyap as his mentor, has talked about his pleasant recollections of working with him. Later, he appeared in supporting parts in Kashyap’s films Geek Out, Bombay Velvet, and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012). (2013).

Ranbir Kapoor played the troubled actor Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, which was Kaushal’s greatest commercial hit of the year. The character of Kamli, played by Kaushal, was based on a number of Dutt’s real-life acquaintances. He spent time with Paresh Ghelani, who was the main influence for the part, in order to get ready. He “holds his own against Ranbir’s superlative performance, and shines in the funny as well as emotional scenes,” according to Samrudhi Ghosh of India Today.

Both Raazi and Sanju ended up being among the top-grossing Hindi movies of 2018, with the latter ranking among the highest earners in Indian cinema with earnings of over 5.79 billion (US$73 million). Awards and nominations


The National Film Award for Best Actor went to Kaushal for Uri: The Surgical Strike released on 2019, and he also won two Filmfare Awards for Sanju released on 2018 and Sardar Udham released on2019, respectively, for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor (Critics). released on 2021.
